16:9 to 4:3 with an FX1 Can't Post

Ok...this has probably been asked and answered before but I'm not finding it. Sorry if it is redundit.

I recently purchased an FX1, which I love, but I don't seem to have something set right. I am shooting video to be mixed with previous stuff shot with Canon XL1/GL1 cameras. The Sony shoots native 16:9 which is fine but the Canons don't....so I want to shoot regular 4:3 with the Sony. I have made that change in the menu settings but when I output and view on a regular tv the image is squashed and stretched to fit the 4:3 aspect ratio. What am I doing wrong?

You need to set "TV type" to 4:3.
