Hi Doug,


The person who wrote that document is an ex BBC employee ( I think he was in R&D but not entirely sure) by the name of Alan Roberts, he has written a lot of technical white papers that are available on the BBC website and is considered an expert on HD. If you search the website that this particluar document is stored on, you will find a lot of discussion on HDV and even some recommendations from Alan on the parameter values that you should use on your A1 to extract the best picture quality.

Alan contibutes to the DVDoctor forums regularly and always answers with incredibly detailed replies, well worth posting a question in the HDV forum on DVDoctor if anyone has an queries.
