The HC5/7 are the same form factor, just a tad larger than the HC3 and considerably smaller than the HC1. They're good cams with .5 clearvid chip, best light sensitivity of any of the small form cams. They're still quite small though...hard to hand hold well. Both have significantly improved stills. Some notables... - manual shutter speed adjustment - focal lengths and shutter speed rates are numerically given - no aperture control (no surprise) - manual adjustment of audio levels via the touch screen - running histogram while shooting - 'guide frame' checkerboard lines for framing - external buttons kept to a minimum - extremely deep battery slot I like em for what they are...Cost on them is darn right!
