Rusty, The 1650 was a strong consideration, but looking at the padded dividers, I did see any way I could get my three A1s in there. I need 14 inches of length and the horizontal dividers are only 10.5 I believe. In the picture it looked perfect, but the length was a deal breaker. I may still consider the case with foam, but then there is the issue of keeping enough space between the cams since the foam does like to break away with use. I have three of the smaller Pelican cases and have replaced the foam on one and the other is due if I continue to use it. I may consider selling it if somone wants a pair of my Sony cams. Oh the decisions. Thank you for your tip on the search and your suggestion. I feel I may still go with the 1650. Jan The 1650 is huge. The 10.5" meausrement is for the depth, not for the length/width. You could fit 6+ A1's in it. Interior dimensions are: 29 x 17 7/8 x 10 1/2" I think there's a few others that originally bought it with foam, but ended up replacing it with padded dividers, as well, and will probably say the same thing...don't waste your money buying trying to save a few bucks by buying the foam...buy it right the first time. The $30 optional lid organizer is nice as well, but not a "must have". I shoot alone, so the 1650 was just WAY too big for me to be dragging around, so I sold it to another VU'er. But if you're travelling with a big film crew and 3 A1's, it would be perfect. My current camcorder fits into the front pocket of my trousers. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/...der_Case_Black_.html
