FX1 to SD Can't Post

What settings would you use on a FX1 if final output is to be SD and 4:3?
Would you shoot in HDV and downconvert or just set up camera to operate in DV mode at 4:3 ratio?

Thanks

If the video is shot in HDV with the intent to down convert to "full screen" 4:3 with the sides cropped off, then it would have to be framed with 4:3 in mind while shooting. In this case, if the video was sold to the client with a promise of HDV discs in the future, the 16:9 video would just contain non essential content on both sides. This would not seem to be an ethical promise of future HDV video. So 16:9 letterboxed video in the 4:3 aspect would seem to be the only ethical offering if down conversion is done from the camera while capturing. If the client does not want letterboxed video, just shoot in 4:3 DV mode.
