HC1 or used TRV900/950 Can't Post

I've been looking at purchasing a used TRV900/TRV950/VX2000 as another backup camera to my pd-150 and to also use as a 2nd/3rd cam for ceremony's. Now recently the HC1 is selling for much less. I'm debating spending around $1000-$1500 on a used TRV/VX, or, spend a little more and get a HC1 instead. This would be sort of like future proofing what is the inevitable. I will be moving to HD in the near future but not sure when yet??
My guess is that I'll get maybe 2 more years of SD before having to change over. What is holding me back is that the HC1 low light capabilities. I know I'll get better colour and low light performance out of the TRV's in DV mode and certainly better low light from a vx2000, at least for SD footage.

Any thoughts? What would you do?

Thanks,
Frank

If your thinking about the now, I would go with a VX first and then 900 and then a 950. The VX should match up best with your 150. Then save up a little more money and get a HDV camera to play with. Personally I really want to go HD, but don't have the funds or extra jobs to pay for the cameras at this time. Maybe next year.
