"RE-ATTACH THE POWER SOURCE" Z1U?????? Can't Post

HELP!
We recently purchased Z1U cameras and are pretty new to the HD world. I shot one small job in front of a green screen and the camera worked fine. Now today I was out on a shoot and it wouldn't record. Then I tried ejecting the tape thinking perhaps the tab was over but that was fine. Then the camera wouldn't load the tape after it was ejected and would flash "RE-ATTACH THE POWER SOURCE". I took the battery out and put in a new (fully charged) battery. It beeps a few times and comes back with the same message "RE-ATTACH THE POWER SOURCE". When this message is flashing it will not even load the tape so I can shut the door. To say the least - I missed my shoot and now am back at the office scratching my head wondering what in the world could be wrong? I tried the unit attached to AC power and the same happens. I even tried doing the main reset on the camera but it still is coming up with the same message and not working. Now it is sitting with the tape bay open and off. We will wait an hour and try again but I am hoping one of you can give some advice on this? Thanks.

Can't say I've had this message before. Are you using Sony batteries or 'compatible' ones? I know some Sony gear checks for 'genuine' batteries (like the new light) and will not work with others. That's to say it won't work with older compatibles, but new ones usually hit the market soon after. Try your camera with the battery it shipped with (as I've hear of fakes being sold as Sony with identical packaging). If it still doesn't work I would think there's a problem with the camera. Good luck!
