Raynox Fish Eye for Z1? Can't Post

Hi,

Just purchased a Z1 and was wondering if Raynox makes a snapon semi-fish eye SNAPON HI-DEF lens for this camera? If not, does anyone know who does?

Thank you

We have the raynox snapon 3000 which fit the pd170 and is brilliant but the lens is too small to go over the hi-def lens on the z1

The PD's are 58mm and the Z1U's are 72mm. Thus, you need all new lenses.

I have the screw-on Raynox and it's a great lens. They don't make a bayonet fisheye. Century Optics does but the zoom-through is about $1300.

Besides, while it is easier to snap a lens off instead of screwing it on and off, you do have the added benefit of security in that the lens won't fall off.

Hi Cathya,

Why not get a 67mm to 72mm Step down adapter at Band H and then you can use your Raynox.

Hi Lou,

Thanks for that info, sorry it has taken me a while to respond. What my husband did was use some metal stuff with plastic shrink wrap (I think) and used this like a step down ring. We are using the snap on fish-eye zoomed in a fair bit and then still having to pull it in in post. It would be great to have a proper HDV widescreen snap-fish eye though.
