Rendering Card for Z1U and aspect HD Can't Post

Hey guys I am looknig to buy a rendering card for premiere pro and aspect HD editing. I am usieng Z1U footage in HDV. what do you guys recomend and what else are rendeing cards good for besides less rendering?

For Premiere, there currently isn't one. HDV hardware acceleration is a different animal than DV is. Therefore your choices are somewhat limited.

Spot, I thought the Matrox Axio was an HDV accelerated card that works with Premiere?

The Axio is indeed an HDV-capable acceleration card, but if you read their fora, it's currently not working with HDV, but works properly with 4:2:2. Since it's apparently not functioning, I don't count it in my "list." But indeed, it's designed to do exactly this, among other things.
Frankly, if you can work with uncompressed, you're better off anyway.

No. HDV and DV are totally unrelated, outside of the fact that HDV uses the same transport mechanism and tape shell.
