SD to HDV Can't Post

Does anyone know how to convert standard definition interlaced footage shot with a Sony 2000 to progressive footage?
If so, I would appreciate some step by step instructions as to how to go about this. I am using FCP as my NLE

You can use Compressor, but it is slow. However, the quality is better than Magic Bullet.
