Sony V1U/FX7 - Wide Angle Lens a Must?

For all you V1U/FX7 users shooting weddings, do you find a WA lens a must-have with this camera? The lens doesn't seem to go very wide, but the FX7 is almost in my price range. But spending another $300-$500 on this camera seems a waste, when you could almost get an FX1 for that price, which doesn't need a WA lens IMHO. Also, Sony lists the V1U Wide Angle lens with a lens hood, which they say is made specifically for the Z1U. Is there ANY reason the WA and hood wouldn't fit on the FX7? The actual WA lens looks to be the exact same one they sell for the FX7/Z1U....MINUS the hood (and minus $200)...but I would for sure want the model with the hood! It's this one: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/...n.html#goto_itemInfo
Thanks! I've got about $2100 saved up for a new cam, and HAVE to buy SOMETHING tomorrow, or rental charges will break me by the end of the month again. The FX7 looks like the best workable solution right now, despite not having XLR inputs or 24p and small sensors....but it's cheap. That's all I care about.
