VX2100 mix footage with FX1? Can't Post

Has anyone edited and mixed VX2100 footage with their FX1 or HC1 Footage? Headaches? When/If placed on DVD in SD, how does it look?

I've tried to mix Canon GL1/GL2 footage with an FX1, and the first problem you have to tackle is how to mix 4x3 footage with 16x9. The easiest answer to that is to crop the left and right edges off the 16x9 footage and output 4x3 for your finished project. If you want widescreen output, get an anamorphic lens adapter for your SD camera. The HC1 is a less professional camera and doesn't appear to yield very good images in poor lighting.

I have mixed cameras in the past and had to contend with different quality of video and needless to say I was not happy with the results.
