interlacing on HDV Can't Post

I've been reading through the forums, and I have come to the conclusion on what camera (hopefully 2) I will be getting. The Sony HDR-FX1.

I have a few questions regarding the quality, which most people seem to feel is quite good.

There was mention of this camera not being able to capture too much movement. To what extent does this exist?
Could you film out of a car traveling at 30kmh+ ?
Could you pan something travelling at speed past you? (like a runner or mountain biker)

Also, I currently have an interlaced miniDV camera and have seen the areas where visual quality is affected by the interlacing. On a much higher level camera, is this reduced quality, less reduced?

At this price level, I might be able to get 2. Is there some other camera in this price range that I should look to instead?

Another note about interlacing. It should be less obvious at 1080i, it would be completely eliminated if you downscaled to SD, because you could use just one field from the 1080i frame.

The JVC isn't finished even though it is "out now". The Panasonic will "soon come" as in I will believe it when I see it.

They had the new JVC HDV cameras available for sale at WEVA Expo this month. Panasonic, on the other hand, didn't even have a working prototype, and the latest rumor I've heard is that they don't expect to have the cameras ready by next February (when someone I know was hoping to use one). And still no word at all about when Canon might get on the HDV bandwagon. :-(
