Pioneer just announced a new Blu-ray burner (BDR-202) with significant improvements over their previous model, including burn speeds up to 4X and better support for DVD and CD formats. Videoguys.com has various pricing options for this drive including the bare drive for $650, or bundled with blank discs and authoring software for $825+ (depending on the software). Apparently if you own any previous version of Adobe Premiere or Encore you can now upgrade to a complete HDV/Blu-ray editing and authoring solution including the burner for under $1000, which isn't bad.
