for those of you who have hd cameras, do you edit all hd footage? or do you still have another cam with sd footage and mix it with the hd footage. do they match?



Based on my initial tests, it looks like FX1 footage downconverted to DV should be plausible to intermingle with DV footage from my Canon GL1 & GL2, but now I have to figure out what to do about widescreen versus 4:3 formats. Plus it looks like even downconverted HDV looks visibly cleaner than my Canon DV footage, especially in low-light situations. So I don't think it will be hard for videographers to spot intermingled HDV/DV footage even in standard definition output, but I'm hopeful it will work for most clients.
