! Novice questions abound ! Can't Post

What I'd like to do is a straight transfer of an MPEG movie (or QT) to video VHS. I'm using a 266MHz G3 (!) with full AV capabilities.
What I'd like to know is what software I would need to do such a thing, and any other sound advice anyone would have to offer.
Thanks to anyone who takes the time out to help me out, I know it's a pain in the ass and it's greatly appreciated.

Jonathan,
I have the same G3 and I can output to VHS in a number of different ways. The cheapest and easist way has been by using the Iomega Buz card- costs around $299 and comes with an LE version of Premiere. I have also upgraded to the full version of Premiere
and added a Firewire card which enables me to capture video from
my digital camcorder. The problem using the G3 A/V for output is that you drop alot of frames because the transfer rate is not up to par.My suggestion is to shop aroung for an inexpensive capture card that comes with nonlinear editing software.Once you get started it is almost impossible to stop, but it is alot of fun.
Good luck and I hope I am of some assistance
Rocky
