Audio is missing...? or not connected...? Can't Post

I finished a project back in July. I reloaded it in FCP-HD to tweak a little and use as a web clip. But before it finishes loading, it says a file went offline. It's just a music clip that I used for pre-ceremony stuff. So, I deleted the audio, reimported the music file, put the audio clip in the timeline, and it still won't play. I can see the waveform for the clip (in the time line and when I look at it in the viewer), but it won't play. I can play the same clip from my hard drive where I store my music, but I can't figure out why it won't play in my FCP project...? Any ideas? What further information might you need from me?

Thanks!
Dave

You might want to check the audio settings in the View submenu, as there are several output options. Also, check to make sure you haven't just accidently muted the channels somehow.

If you can see a waveform, there is definitely audio. Don't forget that FCP has it's own sound, so what plays under OS X isn't always what you get in FCP. I can turn on the speakers in FCP even if my system is set to earphones in System Prefs.
