Audio missing in captured clips Can't Post

hi
i ve a g5 dual processor having 2gb ram and 300gb harddisk. i ve given a video source to the g5 sdi i/p on its declink. it happening quite often that after i ve captured a clip the audio is not recorded. there are no other applications running when i use FCP also there is ample space in the harddisk where i save the scratch. please help

Check your capture settings to verify that they correctly specify how the audio is to be handled. If they're good, look in the browser (in list mode) to see what FCP shows as the audio attributes for the clip.

If all this checks out and still no luck, check your hardware hook-up after verifying that you actually have audio on the tape.
