Check your Screen Saver settings for "hot spots" being set. I have all the same settings you do (I'm currently on 10.4.2, but have done this since Jaguar) and have a hot spot set for one corner so I can still get the screen saver up when I want it... Also, check your Exposé settings since there is a screen saver capability used there. If nothing else, you could re-install. BTW, "cron" is a category of Unix task, so don't start eliminating all crons. There are several you should be running routinely if you don't leave your system running 24/7. What you might want to do is launch Activity Monitor and watch All Tasks to determine which application is invoking the screen saver. This is tedious, but informative. ______________________________________________________________ Currently on a loaded 2.5GHz G5 dualie/5GB/1TB internal RAID/dual 19" monitors.
