Glen, When did you migrate to the Mac world? Hey Kris. Well, it's been a long time coming. I first got a Mac mini a while back and got a copy of FCP only to find out it didn't have enough ram to run. At that point I only wanted a little internet machine and the ability to play around with FCP informaly. I decided to return it and get a Dual 2.0ghz G5 but then soon sold that because I didn't have the time or patience to learn FCP. Now with the onset of the Intel Macs and the ability to dual boot XP and OSX I sprung for a Mac Book Pro. However this time I invested in some training material (Total Training discs) and buckled down and stared actually learning FCP. I like the Mac platform better than windows and FCP's integration with Motion and DVDSP. My appologies, I'm sure you didn't want a novel in response to your question but that's it in a nutshell. I'm still going to be editing on Vegas this season leaving only the smaller projects for FCP till I get the hang of it. If I decide to make a full fledged switch- you'll be seeing a great deal of PC stuff for sale. Probably around the time they replace the G5's with the Intel equivalent. Editing on FCP gives me access to a great deal of talented editors, and the same is likewise if I so choose to do editing on a contratual basis for other videographers.
