Color Swap Can't Post

I need to make an area which is pesently red (blood) to purple. I have seen this done at the WEVA convention, but do not remember the specifics. If you could tell me or direct me to the reference (directions), I have the Final Cut Pro 5 book by Diana Weynand but can't find the technique.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not exactly sure how to do this but maybe these articles will help:

Do a secondary color correction. Access to those controls are at the bottom of the 3-way color corrector tool.
