Compatible Invoice suggestions from Mac to PC...... Can't Post

What software do you use to create invoices? Right now I'm faking it. I made a template from Adobe Elements that looks like it came from software. I'm curious what other mac users are using? We seldom have clients or inquires email back and tell us that they could not open our packages or invoices on their email, and we always send a PDF file.

I use Quicken Home & Business 2007 for all on my personal and business book keeping.
You also have the ability to generate your own invoices (pricing structure you create in the program) from Quicken as well as design the forms yourself (company info and masthead) by modifying an existing one.

QuickBooks on the Mac. I held off for a while, sticking with the Windows version until they came out with a version that creates files completely interchangeable with Windows versions. I have the 2006 version, but they have the 2007 version out. Check it out.

Hi Jenny,

I'm testing this out right now:

So far so good. I have so few invoices each year that I don't need anything as complex as QuickBooks so I'm doing as you are - I created an invoice in Pages. SimpleBooks has tracking and you can create a pdf out of the print window to send to clients via email. The last element I need is a way to allow for multiple payments on the same invoice to allow for notations about the retainer, the event day payment and the final payment. I've contacted the company about that feature and they've added it their feature-request list. The problem with accounting software is that the more options there are the more complex it gets, so they are balancing that trade-off.

Your mission is to take your place at the table, pick up your fork, and eat your pie. Do not look to the left and do not look to the right. Just eat your pie. There is plenty of pie for everyone."
