Copying Audio to CD-RW Can't Post

I have an iMac DV special edition and a Sony DV camcorder and a CD-RW. I took a movie of a high school musical and I would like to capture the music only onto the CD-R disc. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to copy the music from the camcorder to the CD-RW.

Depending on what video editing software you have, you just capture the audio in 44.1 khz sampling rate and 16 bit stereo. If this would not be possible export the audio only from your video editing software. This will get you the sound files you need to master the audio CD. File format should be either AIFF or SoundDesigner II. I assume you just want to listen to the CD on a standart CD player, not wanting to create a master for mass duplication. For that you use Adaptec Toast to master the CD. One word of advice: Don't write to CD-RW media, (use CDR media) as these will not play back on regular CD players.

Re: Copying Audio to CD-RW [In reply to] Can't Post

Assuming you can get video/audio into your Mac, I believe that QuickTime 4.1 Pro Player allow you to extract the sound track and then copy to your CD-R ... speaking of which, I am anxious to begin copying movies to CD. Can you recommend a good CD-R or CD-RW? Also, do I need a compression board. I believe my G3 has everything else. Thanks, and good luck.
