DVCAM editing on Mac Can't Post

Videocam Sony TRV900, Macintosh G4 (with Fire Wire), softwares like Adobe Premiere or Radius EditDV: everything is ok for the video acquisition, editing and final output on tape (as far as I understand).
Now, is it possible to do the same with a Sony PD100 Videocam and the DVCam format? Any possible problems and solutions?

Re: DVCAM editing on Mac Can't Post

Ive been using --
pd100
266g3(not b+w)
orange micro firewire card
promax ide33 card/37gig udma drive
final cut pro.
no major problems. a few times ive had droped frames but with the standard ide drive. once i was able to use the udma drive havnt had any problems.

dvcam and standard miniDV use the same compression, but basicly dvcam uses more tape to record it.
