DVD SP - assigning "last menu viewed" to menu button Can't Post

I'm relatively new to authoring on DVD Studio Pro, and I'd like to have the remote control "menu" button go to the last menu viewed, preferably with the last button used highlighted.

It looks like the only way to do this is to write out a "script", such as the one described here.

Is there a simpler way?

Thanks.

( I'm using DVD SP 4)

Until DVDSP 5 comes out (long overdue compared to the update frequency of the other pro apps) that would seem to be the way to go...

Thanks Joel. Have you heard any rumors as to when that might be?

(By the way, spent all morning designing a new DVD, menus, chapter points, etc. then realized that my DVD standard was HD DVD, not SD DVD! And I can't switch it back! Aargh)

With the HD format war now over, one would expect a blu-ray capable version of DVDSP soon, but certainly sometime this year. Meanwhile, there is Adobe Encore.

Can't be soon enough. There are so many things that DVDSP could do better. My biggest gripe is the quality of the drop zone movies and thumbnails for the chapters. Their so crunched up and full of artifacts I'll often just use stills instead. I've had a little success importing higher quality codecs for the menu clips but its time consuming and doesn't always help.

Did eventdv contact you about being included in an article? I passed your name along...
