Editing HDV in FCP Can't Post

I'm working on my first HDV project and I'm a little confused. I'm workinig with 1080i footage captured on the FX1. When I view the raw video files in the finder, the info says the clips are 1920x1080. However, when I view the properties of the clips from the browser in FCP, the ratio says 1440x1080.

Furthermore, what sequence settings do I use. When I set the sequence to HD 1440x1080 and drop in the clip, I get the orange bar at the top when in Unlimited RT;it goes red if I set to Safe RT. Is that normal?

Thanks,
Ron

P.S. I should also note that this is on an iMac G5. Could that be the problem?

use the HDV settings not the HD settings and see if that helps
HDV appears as one of the easy setup options

Re: [bladeronner] Solution [In reply to] Can't Post

I trashed the old sequence and created a new one. It works now.

Thanks,
