I started out compositing my "bug" (an alpha channel graphic of my logo) over the entire timeline, but that involved a huge amount of rendering. My next try was inserting the graphic as a watermark in Compressor, which worked well but required that I transcode everything twice. One day I was actually reading the manual for DVDSP (I know, nobody ever does this...) I noticed that the subtitle tracks can also contain a graphic instead of just text, so I tried it and it worked nicely, so now all I do is drop my bug into a subtitle track and then "build" the project again using a new name. This takes only a fraction of the time required for the other options. I've always felt that whenever I show footage that was created for a customer (although I own the copyright), I have an obligation to somehow annotate that it's not "public". If I select a scene from a DVD in a sales situation, I can do this verbally, but in the rare instances that I do not have complete control of the footage, I watermark it to avoid any misunderstanding or piracy. It's both a matter of respect for my customers and just good business. ______________________________________________________________ Currently on a loaded 2.5GHz G5 dualie/5GB/1TB internal RAID/dual 19" monitors.
