FINAL CUT PRO/DVDS Can't Post

Hi, I own a G4. I am still waiting on Apple to release Final Cut Pro 1.2. Apple says that only this new version will run on the G4. I was also informed by apple that the new version will be just a download from their website, and they said that I should go ahead and order the current version, and then download the update when it's available. (they claim that it will be out next week... we shall see) Anyway, Is this correct? Anyone else waiting like me? My second unrelated question: Anyone know of a way to transfer video to a DVD? I do mostly wedding videos and would like to offer DVDs as an option. I'm afraid that it's going to be super expensive. Maybe affordable 2 years from now? thanks.

Scott...I'm not sure what will be considered self-advertisement, so I'll send you more detail directly.
I suppose to your G4 you could add the Wired MediaPress/Astarte authoring software bundle, plus the Pioneer DVD recorder for a minimum expenditure of approx. $15K, or if that's too steep I may be able to help you. We are in a position to offer other users access to recent upgrades regarding true DVD encoding and authoring services. With the many years of production work utilizing Director and developing cross platform applications integrating QT, AVI and MPEG-1, the obvious evolution was to expand and offer MPEG-2 solutions that include the transfer to DVD via the new Pioneer DVR-S201 burner, for cost-effective DVD-R's with chapter stops that play in set top DVD players as well as computers equipped with DVD-ROM drives. All MPEG-2 encoding is real time and faithfully retains the content of your source material. Authoring results in a menu driven point-n-click interface.
You mentioned weddings in your post. We just happen to be a WEVA member and have put together an incentive wholesale package being offered to wedding & event videographers. I'll email you with details.
