G3 upgrade, firewire Can't Post

I have an old PM 7500, which is in computer terms obsolete. I was wondering if I upgraded with the Newer Technologie G3 300mhz card and added an Orange Micro Hotlink firewire PCI card whether my system would be able to do DV editing at all? For instance with Premiere or FCP? The hard drive I currently use meets the technical requirements. Who has the answer? Thanks

you might be able to get premiere to work. but final cut pro is designed only to run on yosemite and sawtooth systems.
