Getting around 2gig limit when exporting to disk? Can't Post

I am using a G3 with OS 8.6, Premiere 5.1c & Quicktime 4.01. I have a 40gig section that I want to export to disk so that I can do some changes with another program. Is there a plug-in that will get around the 2gig limit that Premiere has?
