Help build the perfect system Can't Post

I am creating a proposal for a friend of mine.
He owns a high end construction company, 4-6 million dollar homes.
He just built a new showroom(old building burned down) and wants to create a space to show clients video and pictures of products/offerings.

He will be price conscious as everyone is at some level, but he wants to create a "nice set up".

Here are my thoughts.

Option 1 - take video in HDV, download and edit in FCP(which I will do either on my machine at home or the one I have him buy for this project) and show the final video(s) via Quick Time onto a Plasma TV or a 30" Apple monitor.

Option 2 - take video on my VX2100, download and edit in FCP, put on DVD and have him show via either a DVD player or maybe a Mac Mini onto monitors listed above.

Option 3 - I am open to suggestions

Questions - Does a Mac Mini(new intel one) have what it takes to pump out to a 30" monitor or a Plasma TV?
Is it worth getting the New Quad to do all this or will that be too loud for a show room?
Thanks for help, questions, input.....
Eric

Options one and two are both viable, working in QT's H.264 from hard drive would be truly impressive on a harge hi-def display. Working in SD will still be pretty good looking if well produced.

The 30-inch Cinema display requires both sides of a high-end dual head video board, something that isn't possible with a mini. You'll want an upgraded PowerMac. What you do beyond the video board will depend on if you're going to cut on it or just use it to run the display.

Apple 30" monitor: No, the mini doesn't have the required twin head video card. The resolution of the 30" is so great that it's fed as if it were two screens.

42" Plasma: Probably so, since even the newest of these TVs are about half the resolution.

Is it worth getting the New Quad to do all this or will that be too loud for a show room?

In the Mac Video Forum, a Quad is always a great idea... but not necessary to do the job since it's basically just desplay work. Any Mac with a high-end video board (specifics are on the Apple site) will get the job done. As for noise: while not completely silent, most of the newer Macs are pretty quite or can easily be shrouded to be all but unnoticable.
