How well will this system work? Please advise! Can't Post

here's my current system: Mac beige G3 266mhz w/320mb and 6 gigHD + turbomax ide card with 20gig diamondmax plus HD. Sony D8 trv310 camera.
Considering getting: Promax's FIREMAX firewire card and Adobe Premiere.
Do you think I would have dropped frames or have any other
problems when I begin editing video on this set-up?
Any suggestions on firewire cards and editing software would
be great.
Thanks much!
Ben

I have a Sony D8 TRV 103 on a B+W G3 400 with 27gig diamondmax. I have not seen any capture problems or dropped frames. Good camera. Standard Apple IDE ATA/33 performs great, Firemax should be even better. I'd hold out on the Firemax untill you see how your Turbomax card works, it may be enough.
