Hi Ron, Any time Mail is acting funky, especially after a forced restart, it may mean that the directories are corrupt. Easy to fix: Open mail. Click once on an account in your InBox. Then go to Mailbox > Rebuild. Depending on how much mail is in there it may take a while. Do the same for each account in both your InBox and your Sent box. Occasionally this may result in some messages being marked as unread when they used to be read or other weirdness, but the whole process will speed up how fast mail loads and sends and retrieves messages. If your dock icon is still set at a number that doesn't correspond to your unread messages shut down and then restart with the P, R, Option and Apple keys held down until you hear two start up chimes. Let it start up normally and everything should be ok.
Well I guess the honeymoon is over. Last night I decided to take a break and watch some TV in the living room. I had forgot I had a TV in there. When I cam back to my studio, I found my Mac had frozen. Mouse wouldn't move. Had to reboot it. Now today, my Mail program no longer shows the number of unread messages in the doc. What's up with that? I guess the honeymoon is over huh? Please don't tell me it's going to start acting like a Mac? No one deserves that! Joel starting | perfectionists
