Is my current computer too slow to edit HD? Can't Post

Hey All,

Just wondering if anyone is using the older dual 2.5 G5 for editing HD?

Looking into buying HD cameras and had to stop and consider if I would also need to upgrade my computer as well.

I'm using a 3-4 year old, dual 2.5 processor with 6 gig of ram, ATI Radeon 9800XT graphic's Card, OS 10.4.11 Still using FCP 5 though I realize I will need to upgrade to FCP 6.

Any thoughts and experiences with using this computer to edit HD would be Greatly Appreciated.

No, it's not too slow. Lots of HD video is being edited on G5s.
