Multiple Maxtor HDs in G4 Can't Post

I have read that the Maxtor eide/ata hard drives (with a Promax pci card) will work well in a G4 running FinalCutPro. Has anyone had experience with these? Much cheaper than similar IBM models from Promax.

Re: hds Can't Post

Well I went ahead and put one of these in today, and it could not have been easier! I am impressed. I bought two of them, but when I phoned Promax to order a pci Promax Turbomax card which will allow the third hd to install, they said they couldn't sell any for at least 45 days since they are holding them for their customers who are spending $10k on complete systems from them...Harrumph!
