Ok all you soundtrack guys Can't Post

Any idea if they finally added a filter to make audio sound as if it's coming through a phone?

I don't think there's a specific "telephone call sound" filter. But it's easy enough to achive with some EQ to filer out the right frequencies, Compress it a lot, play around, it's not that hard. I haven't done it in awhile, but I remember it was pretty easy to do.

Oh yeah, I remember, start with the BandPass Filter (Mac OS), play around with the two sliders. It'll give you a really good start. It's also great for that old AM radio sound.

All you need to do is decrease the dynamic range of the audio. Run both a high-pass and low-pass filter adjusting the settings on each. These two alone will get you right where you need to be. I needed to do it myself- worked great!
