Problem with After Efects Can't Post

I have a G4 and a SonyTRV900. When I import a movie DV to after efects, it lose quality. The movie look likes interlace.
What's happening?

How are you digitizing it? When you do import a video file to aftereffects, you have to "interpret" the footage to determine the field order of your footage.(Under File on the menu bar I think, I'm not sitting in front of it right now) Then when you render your movie double check all of your render settings carefully, including the codec you want to render with, quality settings, field rendering on, frame blending on etc. Aftereffects gives you so many options it's dizzying....I'm assuming you would want to use the DV codec, unless your exporting to Avid or something else....
