QVGA - What's that stand for? Can't Post

When I export a QT file and choose to change the size to 320 x 240 it lists 320 x 240 QVGA. Anyone know what this means? Does it just stand for QT VGA?

The reason I save it to this size is because it's smaller for one thing and it seems to work better (gives me a better quality) when sending it to my PC and converting it to a flash file using On2. If I just send the normal QT movie, the quality seems to suffer when converting it down to w 320 x 240.

I googled monitor resolution acronyms.
