Re rendering after closing a project Can't Post

******All the rendered files went to another Ashley's folder.......
All is well now******

Yesterday i finished editing 4 min. montage.
Some clips have magic bullet filters on them.
Set it render....after rendering I view montage, all is well.
Close FCP.
Today I open the montage and it has to be rendered again.

Anyway I can keep the project from having to be rendered again after closing it?

I checked my scratch disks and they are set correctly to my internal HD.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Terry,

Did you move the folder to a different location on your drive or rename it? Thats all I can think of.

Thanks for the advice. I think I may have found the problem. I have 2 Ashley's on my hard drive right now. The Ashley I'm working on now somehow her files went to the other Ashley's folder. I guess I changed something I wasn't supposed to.

Thanks for responding!

FCP 6.0.1 also has some bugs that make it lose the render files in a nested sequence.....just wait till you have motion titling on the timeline and have to re-render it because FCP cant keep up with it. I have not upgraded to 6.0.2 yet but that was supposed to fix it. I am waiting a bit longer to make sure it does not break the ability to import P2.

Thanks Tim,
and since you mentioned the P2 card, someone just sent this to me:

P2 The Horror of going Tapeless

I really don't understand it, but it's kinda funny.

yeah, I caught that on DVX user. I laughed pretty hard. my cameras are potential killers, I should watch my back while editing in the office late at night from now on!

I really love the knife in the mic holder....I wish I could find a ruber one as a permanent attachment to mine.....
