Sony DCR PC100 + JVC GR-DVM70U Can't Post

Hi, I am new in video editing....I am considering to buy a camcorder to my powerbook G3/400....so which camera, Sony DCR PC100 and JVC GR-DVM70U, do you think is a more mac user friendly? Thanks a lot for your advice.

Both work with FCP Can't Post

I have a JVC GR-DVM5 and although its not listed as supported by Apple it works just fine (Log&Capture with Device Control) in FCP! The Sony model you mention IS on Apples list (http://www.apple.com/finalcutpro/techspecs/qualification.html#cameras).
We might speculate as to why (co-marketing arrangements, finite testing resources and concern about hidden incompatibilities) but Apple seems to favor Cannon and Sony cameras. My guess is that most late-model digital camcorders will work. I found it hard to arrange a test (demo) of my camera on a G4-FCP machine when I was shopping.
[Note: there are no camera-specific settings in FCP -- you just select firewire and DV codec parameters in the software, plug in your digital camcorder and go!]
