Keep in mind we are talking about Motion3. If you are using it a lot for your work then the ATI would be the better way to go but, for 3D applications (including games and OpenGL apps) the Nvidia is the better direction. Whichever you do most of should determine your direction.

Nvidia it shall be! Wink

I wonder how much more powerful for gaming it is over my default ATi card?

Been watching the ram usage via Activity Monitor. I haven't gotten it to go much over 2 gigs even why I try. ????

Hi Glen,

I just bought more memory from OWC a few months ago for our mac pro also. I am not a techy, but OWC had online demos right on their site that walked me through step by step. I was amazed at how easy it was with how appled designed the cases. Not as easy as replacing a waterpump in a van where you have to pull have the engine apart. Laugh

Come on Glen, your my hero! I thought you already knew all of this Mac stuff?? Crazy

I got the same box you did, except it only came with 1 GB of RAM. I have since upgraded to a total of 9GB by way of 4 each 2GB sticks. I just followed the tiny 4"x4" manual on the installation. OH BTW, I bought my RAM from OWC, haven't had any problems thus far.
