Trouble capturing footage with CF ... again Can't Post

Shot a dance recital with the Z7 and I'm trying to get the footage off the card using the log and capture. I've downloaded the newest plugin from Sony.

When I go to log and capture all I'm getting is the warning that the deck is not recognized but that I can use capture now.

I can't find anyway to capture the footage.

What am I missing?

I don't have a Z7, so I don't know this for sure - I have an EX1 with the SxS card, and you don't capture through log and capture, you do file -> import -> "xdcam" (that is the EX1 format) - perhaps look under import rather than log and capture for the Z7 format.

Good luck!

You should be log and transfer.

I know that's what it should be ... and that's what I did last time, but this time ... zero luck. It just keeps saying the deck isn't initialized and the icon thing no longer comes up.

Do you have anything else like a deck or camera plugged into a firewire port? Sorry if this is an obvious question.

I have been having some issues myself most recently. I usually use the firewire jack on the front of the computer, but nothing showed up. I plugged into the back and there it was. So not sure if this is an idea or not, just passing along.
