Yet another utility plug...

Hi all, Just another plug for something I'm finding really helpful, mostly because I'm working on a laptop and screen space is at a premium. I've always thought the dock gets in the way but never found a way to keep its functionality but not the physical thing. I now found FinderPop: http://finderpop.com/ A little under-developed but well worth the time it takes to set it up. What it does is place your dock items in a contextual menu that pops up when ever you right-click on anything. What could be more convenient? I've been using DockBlock to kill the dock because it allows you to un-kill it any time you need to, which for me is becoming rarer: http://sideburn.com/dockblock/ DockBlock also shows you what was in the now non-existant dock but it doesn't show you running processes with just a right click. Here's a reduced screen shot of what the contextual pop-up looks like. Each running app is listed as well as the apps you've selected to 'keep in dock' for quick access. http://www.WeddingFilms.com/finderpop.jpg It all works with a folder full of alias'. Very simple and easy to wrap your head around after you read the directions. Joel "Think of this business as a room with a huge table and a bunch of chairs around the table. There is a big pie on the table. Your mission is to take your place at the table, pick up your fork, and eat your pie. Do not look to the left and do not look to the right. Just eat your pie. There is plenty of pie for everyone." starting | perfectionists
