digital video & buz Can't Post

I want to get a video digitizer that uses composite and s-video but I don't want to invest too heavily as I anticipate going digital within a short time. I'm thinking about the Iomega buz as an affordable way to go but I do want to use it for going back out to tape. I've read that the output is hot, very bright, and this doesn't sound too promising. Could someone with Buz experience let me know if this is a good low end tool even with the hot video output and is there a workaround for the output problems? thankx...
