g4 and firewire	Can't Post

hi all,
i have problems to mount a firewire-hd at my g4/350-mac.
Have anybody solutions for this problem. The driver from the apple.com, doesn't work on a g4. Please help me.

Did you download the new driver 2.2.2?
FireWire 2.2.2 fixes two problems for iMac DV, iMac DV Special Edition, and Power Macintosh G4 customers who are presently using FireWire 2.2:
Exporting video from iMovie to a DV camera is more reliable with FireWire 2.2.2.
FireWire hard disk drives will be more reliable
