iMac 266 & Sony Digital8 Can't Post

I want to buy a digital (perhaps a sony digital8) camcorder. Likely a DCR-TRV 103/110. I have an iMac 266. Is this a good combination? Can I use the USB ports to transfer video or do I need some sort of dv card thing? Will their be any restrictions with editing? Any recommended software? Is it a good camera? Will my boomerang come back?
Any advise would be appreciated.

Re: iMac 266 & Sony Digital8 Can't Post

sorry, there is no good solution for a DV capable camera to and older iMac. You'd be better off buying just an analog camera since you can only use a s-video input to USB (i.e. Interviews xlr-8)
I know because I'm in the same boat...
