miniDV Computer VTR Can't Post

Hi
I've mounted an old PC DV drive (miniDV Player/recorder that fits in a PC like a CD-Rom) into
an old external Aplle CD-rom case and FCP and iMovie see and control it.. not a problem and I'm
loving it BUT... it _only_ has one Firewire port sooooo... how can I monitor the signal via an NTSC monitor?
A few questions:
1)Does the Sony DVMC-DA1 put out a DV and Y/C signal at the same time?
2) Does the G4 output the same signal out of all firewire ports?
3) Is there a device that can solve this???
THANKS
