need to mix SD and HD Can't Post

I have a groom prep shot with the FX-1, in widescreen mode but in SD. That was a mistake, as it should have been in HD widescreen like everything else shot that day. So... how can I mix that footage in with my HD stuff so that all the video is widescreen? I'm not sure what setting to use on my sequence, so it fills the widescreen monitor. Maybe I should have imported the groom prep in 16:9 mode? Groom prep shows up itty bitty on my monitor, but played back on the camera wide. Help!

Hi LaDonna,

You may want to post this question on the main wedding board. Many MacHeads don't check in here.

LaDonna, you probably need to just drop the SD footage into your HD sequence timeline & FCP will automatically scale the SD footage to fit the HD frame. I'm guessing it will scale 225%, so it will be soft & jaggie. You may want to look into Instant HD or a similar utility for better results.

Well, I'm about to find out what works, and report back with the results. Hope I can do it, being non-technical and all!
