: i work on premier5.0 on a G4 OS 8.6 with 256RAM and 20GB hard drive. I use premier only for editing scanned images and titles and stuff like that. And output only as a movie file which i use quicktime 4 to playback. I have the following problems
: 1. if i export movie with a frame size of over 800x600 quicktime playback jitters and skips frames (audio playback is ok)but if a restart the machine a try again it's ok.
: 2. Certain project files cannot be openned. I get a massage which say' file locked or in use by another application. even if a restart the machine and try again i get the same error.
: please help!!!!

hello,
first, why are you using system 8.6? upgrade to 9.0 asap.
second, what codec are you using to render your movie? also, there is no reason why you should be creating an 800x600 movie. create your movie at video resolution, 640-480. when you use movie player to play the movie, use the present movie option (movie player pro only).
