Hi, I was bummed when Trapcode's shine and starglow didn't work anymore. At first I took it as a sign that I was overusing it anyway, but now I miss the little touches it can add. I've been looking for an alternative and found this: http://www.noiseindustries.com/fxfactory/index.html And a review http://www.kenstone.net/...actory_saraceno.html They have a shine-like effect (called Godrays) but its seems to me to be a faux look that doesn't have the same crispness and depth. There are a lot of other filters that make it worth a look though. I have been messing around with the trial only. In spring this year Shine and the others are coming out in compatible versions, so I'm going to hold out until then to make a purchase decision. http://www.redgiantsoftware.com/trapcodepress.html One option is to use Motion. It has lightrays built in. I just haven't taken the plunge into it yet. I don't use motion effects enough to justify the time it would take to learn it.
